My hometown is Lynden, WA where I was raised with my two siblings, Sarah (25) and Mark (22), and attended Lynden Christian High School.  I was brought up in the Christian Reformed Church, where my dad was a Pastor and now works as a Chaplain while running a private Counseling practice.  My mom is a registered nurse for St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham, WA.  I attended Dordt College in Sioux Center, IA, a private college affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church, where I received a Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering.  After graduation, I worked for a year in Livermore, CA at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where I am still employed, mainly as a software engineer and computer programmer.  I’m currently studying to receive a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA.
